We had a fantastic stay at this beautifully restored property which blends historic charm with modern comforts. The rooms were lovely, well-maintained, and so comfortable, and we truly appreciated the pet-friendly policies that made our furry friend feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond to enhance our experience, though the valet parking fee felt a bit high. Still, the dining was absolutely delightful, and the location was perfect for exploring downtown Kansas City. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a special getaway.

7.4/10

I had mixed feelings about my recent stay at the hotel. On one hand, the staff was exceptional and did an outstanding job of delivering service that rivaled luxury establishments. On the other hand, the communication issues led to a frustrating experience regarding our room arrangements, and the overall ambiance of our room was quite dark and uninviting. Despite its unique design and amenities, the room situation really impacted my enjoyment of the stay.

Rooms

Unfortunately, the room was quite dark and felt isolated, as we had little natural light due to the building's design.

My stay at the hotel was delightful overall, with clean and comfortable accommodations and excellent service throughout. The dining experience was enjoyable, especially with live jazz music, though I found the food could use a bit more variety. The location is perfect for exploring the vibrant downtown area, but some aspects like dated room features and air conditioning could be better. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its charm and atmosphere.

I had a lovely stay at the hotel, with big, comfy rooms and a great bar downstairs. However, there was noisy construction next door, which really disrupted my experience, especially since it began early on a weekend. Overall, the hotel has potential, but the lack of communication about the construction was frustrating.

6.8/10

The hotel is located in a vibrant area, close to downtown activities and easy access to jazz venues. The rooms are clean and spacious, though somewhat dated, and the lounge has great live music. However, the dining options were limited and not very exciting. Some issues with air conditioning were also a drawback, but overall, it was a solid experience.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were nice and clean, but a bit dated and the bathroom was small. They were spacious enough and provided good comfort for our stay.
Service
7.0
The service we received was generally nice, and the staff was helpful despite a few hiccups with our accommodations at the end of our stay.
Location

The hotel is in a great spot, right in the Power & Light District, making it easy to access the arena and enjoy downtown activities.
Dining
5.0
While the lounge had a nice atmosphere and live music, the food was quite plain and didn't live up to the experience we hoped for.
Facilities
7.0
There was a nice bar for drinks, and although some construction was happening, it didn't significantly affect our stay.
